Robert
Perala
Robert has been playing music
since his early teens, including rhythm and bass guitar and piano.
Brought up on the sunny California Coast, in his childhood Robert
was deeply inspired by the emerging sounds of rock and roll, including,
The Beatles, the Beach Boys, David Bowie, Elton John and others.
As his musical talents matured, so did his interested in multiple
music genres, including the great jazz writers of Broadway, including
the Gershwins, Rogers and Hart, and Jimmy Van Husen . Roberts vocal
styles were also heavily influenced by the great performers such
as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Paul McCartney. Music is not
just a hobby for Robert, it is as much of an emotional need as living
and breathing. His involvement with musical performance has spanned
solo gigs to rock and roll bands to eventually music and event production.

Just completed a British tour as solo performer
of his top hits “Whatever Happened to the American Dream"
and “This is America”, among others.

Produced, directed and performed music video
for “Whatever Happened to the American Dream” as
theme song to the motion picture documentary “Just Sign
Here”.

Solo performances as jazz performer include
gigs at Hilton Hotel in Atlanta Georgia, Doubletree Hotel in
San Jose California, Hyatt in Santa Clara California and others.

Human Rights Day for UNICEF, Hero Aids Africa, Tsunami Relief,
and Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Concerts.

Emcee and board member for West Fest, celebrating
the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock.

Associate Producer and Musical Editor for
the documentary film on predatory lending and the mortgage crisis
called “Just Sign Here” (for which Robert wrote
the theme song “Whatever Happened to the American Dream”).
